Your role:

We are looking for a Transformation Project Manager to help deliver the Council’s ambitious regeneration plans for the borough’s town centres. You will work on a range of exciting projects to support the delivery of our Strategic Regeneration Frameworks, as well as the regeneration of Ashton-in-Makerfield town centre.

You will take responsibility for managing specific projects and tasks, establishing project groups, ensuring milestones are met, risks and issues are well-managed, and deliverables are achieved. You will have a good knowledge of current policy and be able to provide accurate and timely briefings for senior leaders.

Reporting to the Programme Manager – Town Centre Regeneration, you will work with a range of officers and managers across the organisation including Regeneration, Planning, Property, Economic Development, Major Projects, Legal and Finance, as well as external partners.

About you:

We’re looking for experience and energy in a project manager who is used to managing projects within a complex working environment. Adept at building great relationships and getting along with colleagues, you’ll be a real people person, friendly, positive and forward-thinking. You will be keen to get on with the job at hand with strong organisational skills, ability to keep your eye – and those of your colleagues – on the end goal and a track record of delivering projects which meet objectives on time. You will be a good planner with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
