They are a unique blend of advisors and developers, partnering with the UK’s largest Local Authorities and Housing Associations as a Strategic Development Partner to revitalise aging housing estates. Their mission is to provide high-quality affordable homes while prioritising place-making and enhancing the end-user experience in every development. They are currently seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team and contribute to their ongoing success.

      Job Description:
      We are looking for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably with a strong background in residential development. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in early RIBA stage development projects, contributing to the successful delivery of the regeneration initiatives.

      Key Responsibilities:
      • Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for early-stage development projects, considering all aspects of construction and associated costs.
      • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness throughout the development process.
      • Tendering: Manage the tendering process, including the preparation of tender documents, evaluation of bids, and negotiation with contractors and suppliers.
      • Contract Administration: Administer construction contracts, review variations, and ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
      • Value Engineering: Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimise costs without compromising quality and functionality.
      • Risk Management: Assess and manage project risks related to costs, advising the project team on potential cost implications and mitigation strategies.
      • Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
      • Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to senior management, highlighting cost-related insights and recommendations.

      Qualifications and Skills:
      • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
      • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably as a PQS or Developer client-side QS
      • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for cost estimation and project management.
      • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
      • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
      • Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards.
      • RICS or other relevant professional certifications are a plus.
