Geotechnical Engineer

A well-known property consultancy in Liverpool is looking for an Environmental or Geotechnical Engineer to join their team. Well known for being an excellent place to work the company offer excellent training opportunities and progression.

The role will focus on the design and supervision of ground investigations, design of earthworks, foundations, and retaining structures. Many of the schemes are large in size and will focus on the planning investigation, design construction and post construction monitoring of environmental/ geotechnical aspects of projects. Duties will include the production of Phase I, II, III and IV reports, the supervision of site investigations, production of fee quotations and supervision of site works. Working closely with the larger team the Environmental/ Geotechnical Engineer will communicate their findings in both team meetings and through the production of detailed reports.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients and stakeholders. An understanding of the the importance of site investigations with regard to content and accuracy is also essential. Excellent attention to detail will ensure the role is carried out to the high standard practiced throughout the business.

Applications are invited from candidates with a degree or equivalent in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, Physics or Maths and recent experience in Soil Mechanics, Rock Mechanics, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geophysics, Hydrogeology, or other ground related discipline.
