One floor remains at Landmark after Vanguard letting
The global investment firm has taken another 14,000 sq ft, doubling its footprint at the Barings-owned St Peter’s Square building in Manchester city centre.
A lease has been secured for the sixth floor space, the length of which dovetails with the 10-years Vanguard signed for the 14,013 sq ft seventh floor at Landmark last year.
Leasing agents for Barings on this deal were JLL, CBRE and Colliers. JLL advised Vanguard.
This deal leaves one floor left for occupation within the 180,000 sq ft 14-floor property, the 14,000 sq ft fourth floor.
The Vanguard move swiftly follows law firm DAC Beachcroft’s relocation from Hardman Square in Spinningfields to the 13,200 sq ft space on Landmark’s 12th floor.
Ian Mayhew, managing director, UK asset management at Barings, said: “For a global investment firm such as Vanguard to select Manchester as its first UK office outside of London and then be doubling its space just over 12 months later is fantastic news on many levels.
“We are delighted that our provision at Landmark has created the right environment for growth and it is exciting to see an occupier flourish within the building. With keen interest in the remaining floor, we are looking forward to achieving full occupation of Landmark.”
Contactless technology, and Amazon lockers for package delivery and returns, are features of the building.
Other Landmark tenants include HSBC UK, JP Morgan Chase & Co, Allianz Insurance, Grant Thornton, JLL, Starling Bank, Santander UK, RSM and Xero.
