Drone footage shows progress at New Bailey
English Cities Fund has released an aerial video showing activity on site at New Bailey in Salford, including progress on the construction of One New Bailey, the 125,000 sq ft office which is on schedule for completion in May 2016.
The footage shows the central core and steel framework of One New Bailey and also the site of the former City Wharf building, which has now been completely demolished ahead of schedule.
Greg Ball, development surveyor at New Bailey, said: “The latest footage shows the dramatic progress being made on site at New Bailey. City Wharf has gone completely, revealing the site for the new marketing suite and events space which is now clearly visible. Our events plan is due to commence in September, marking another significant milestone in the scheme.”
One New Bailey will provide eight storeys of prime offices, while a further two 200,000 sq ft office developments are planned for the site. In addition, there will be a mix of cafes, bars and restaurants, as well as the enhanced public realm in the form of a new public square.
The scheme is located on the banks of the River Irwell next to Spinningfields.
