- MICHAEL CULLEN, STOCKPORT COUNCIL | Michael Cullen is the Chief Executive of Stockport Council and Place Lead for NHS Greater Manchester. Michael started his career at Knowsley Council, before joining Stockport Council’s finance team in 2006, becoming its Borough Treasurer in 2016. In 2020, Michael was appointed Deputy Chief Executive and was appointed Chief Executive in June 2024. Michael is a proud and passionate public servant who has worked across local government and the NHS having also held the role of Chief Finance Officer at NHS Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group between April 2020 and June 2022.
- BEV CRAIG, MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL | Bev became Leader of Manchester City Council in 2021. First elected as a Councillor in 2011, she has held a range of responsibilities on Manchester City Council including as Executive Member for Adult Social Care and Health and Deputy Leader. Since becoming Leader, she has overseen Manchester’s ambitious plans to build a more inclusive and sustainable economy, increasing investment into neighbourhoods across the city, better outcomes for children and young people, tackling inequalities, building more housing and working to meet Manchester’s net zero ambitions.
- CLLR LYNN WILLIAMS, BLACKPOOL COUNCIL | LYNN WILLIAMS, BLACKPOOL COUNCIL | Cllr Lynn Williams is the Leader of Blackpool Labour Group and honoured to be the first female Leader of Blackpool Council. She currently holds the portfolio for Tourism, Arts and Culture, having previously held the roles of Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member and Statutory Leader Member for Children’s Services, Portfolio holder of Adults and Health and Chair of both BHC and BCH Boards. She was also Chair of the Planning Committee for over four years, a role she very much enjoyed. Lynn is a mother of two and works as a Solicitor in Blackpool town centre.
- PAM SMITH, NEWCASTLE CITY COUNCIL | Pam Smith joined Newcastle City Council as Chief Executive in January 2022 having been Chief Executive at Stockport Council since 2017. Prior to that, she was Chief Executive of Burnley Council and has also worked for the Audit Commission and in the private sector. Pam is the Solace lead spokesperson for Economic Prosperity and a Fellow of the RSA. In April 2024 Pam was appointed Visiting Professor of Practice at Newcastle University, within the School of Geography, Politics & Sociology. Pam is known for building strong teams that deliver for residents. She led the University Town transformation in Burnley and the £1bn regeneration and transformation of Stockport including being a champion of the Mayoral Development Corporation which accelerated growth and opportunities for its residents.
- JON DYSON, BOLTON COUNCIL | Jon is the director of place at Bolton Council – Dyson leads on Bolton Council’s regeneration programme, which includes various large-scale projects such as the redevelopment of Crompton Place Shopping Centre. He also plays a pivotal role in facilitating private sector investment and unlocking growth opportunities both in the town centre and wider borough.
- CLLR LIAM ROBINSON, LIVERPOOL CITY COUNCIL | Cllr Liam Robinson is leader of Liverpool City Council. His priority is to lead an administration that puts Liverpool first, and is committed to making the city greener, using sustainable growth to create jobs, supporting citizens through the cost-of-living crisis and embracing innovation to improve Council services.
