Despite funding pressures and future uncertainty, universities are leading the way with ambitious build programmes in cities across the region. Hear from Salford City Council, Salford University, UCLan and more at Place North West’s update on the higher education sector.

Sponsored by Morgan Sindall, the breakfast event will take place on the morning of Thursday 6 July, at the Holiday Inn on Aytoun Street in Manchester city centre.

The session will begin with an overview of the current trends and opportunities in higher education by George Griffith, head of university consulting at CBRE, followed by a presentation from Salford University and Salford City Council on emerging campus regeneration plans.

A panel will then take place, with discussion looking at student accommodation demand, Brexit pressures, and planning for research functions. The funding climate with cuts from Government, combined with an uncertain future regarding student fees, will also be debated.
