The Role

Greater Manchester Pension Fund (GMPF) is looking for an experienced and confident commercial property lawyer interested in working for the UK’s largest LGPS Fund in a prominent role in a service which is at the leading edge of LGPS reform and development.

The areas of work will include complex aspects of legal work arising from the Pension Fund’s day to day activities, mainly focused on complex landlord and tenant commercial property transactions, acting for GMPF in its capacity as a Pension Fund landlord across its portfolio of properties.

About You

This post offers exciting opportunities for development in a dynamic and supportive team environment and would suit a qualified solicitor, barrister or a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives. The suitable candidate will have substantial PQE, with the desire and potential to become a successful LGPS lawyer within a supportive environment.

The property portfolios have over £2bn of AUM and the work involves dealing with senior contacts at major global property firms and their advisers.

The job is based at Guardsman Tony Downes House, Droylsden and offers a high degree of flexibility in working patterns including the ability to work remotely, a varied and interesting workload and the ability to participate in the excellent local government pension scheme. There is also access to the NHS car lease scheme.
