2018’s most exciting Manchester property developments
Greater Manchester’s property sector is booming. Manchester has been named one of Europe’s fastest growing cities and demand for new property in and around the city has never been more evident.
The surge in construction projects has seen Greater Manchester cement itself as a thriving global destination. With 11,000 residential units under construction across 41 developments in Manchester – a massive increase of 60% on 2017, it’s clear to see the city’s property market is growing rapidly.
In this blog, we thought we would take a look at three of the most exciting developments in Greater Manchester – and at the end we’ll tell you why.
St Michael’s
Designed by Hodder & Partners and backed by Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs, St Michael’s is set to change Manchester’s skyline and deliver some hugely beneficial amenities to the city.
This dual-purpose building is set to be mixed-use, whilst simultaneously hosting a hotel, a synagogue, a leisure centre and a rooftop garden with views across the Manchester skyline.
Located right at the heart of Albert Square, this is set to regenerate an oftentimes underused area of Manchester’s city centre.
Angel Meadows – NOMA
The £200 million historic Angel Meadows development is an upcoming residential development compromising of 754 homes across four buildings bordering the stunning Angel Meadow Park.
It forms part of the city centre’s NOMA neighbourhood, which is extending the city centre northwards with a mix of commercial and residential developments. Angel Meadow is providing an amazing opportunity to create a residential space around the fringes of Angel Meadow park, the tallest building rising to 40 stories which will totally change Manchester’s skyline.
Building work has begun and the first homes are expected to be complete in 2019.
Church Wharf
Moving out of the city centre, we’re really excited with the current regeneration taking place in Bolton.
Church Wharf is the latest project announced which is set to totally transform Bolton. The site, located in Greater Manchester, is set to be fully rejuvenated with hundreds of new homes in the town centre site, as well as a new link road which is set to dramatically reduce congestion around the Bolton area.
Ambitions for Church Wharf include creating a distinctive neighbourhood that brings together hundreds of new homes all woven together by high quality new public spaces. Muse Developments have been appointed to lead on this amazing regeneration project and we cannot wait for it to get started.
But, why is this important?
You might be wondering why we wrote this blog – what’s the point of it?
Well, these are three of the key developments we’ve been seeing all over the press and social media, and as such they have clear and effective marketing plans.
If your development hasn’t been mentioned, perhaps it needs a bit of TLC in the marketing department. The greater your scheme’s awareness, the greater its success.
And that’s it!
It’s safe to say that Manchester and its surrounding areas are expanding at a rate of knots! These three property developments are definitely game changers and ones to watch out for in the next few years as the Greater Manchester skyline continues to change & expand.
