McWilliams promoted at JLL
Tom McWilliams has been made local director in JLL’s North West development team based in Manchester, following the departure of Adam White for MAG Property.
McWilliams has worked on some of the city’s largest schemes including Allied London’s St John’s at the former ITV Granada site, and London & Continental Railway’s Manchester Mayfield project in Piccadilly.
In his new role, McWilliams will lead the firm’s development consultancy work for city centre projects. Responsibility for out-of-town developments, including Wylfa Power Station, Carrington and Siemens, will be led by local director John Lafferty.
Last month JLL announced Ken Bishop would be joining the firm from DTZ/Cushman & Wakefield to work alongside the firm’s investment, agency and development teams.
David Lathwood, lead director for the North West at JLL, said: “This new role reflects Tom’s track record advising on some of the most significant development schemes in the city region and is thoroughly well-deserved.
“Given the volume and breadth of development activity which JLL is advising on, the time is right to create two distinct focus areas within our development team, bringing our expertise in out-of-town and city centre to the fore. The level of senior consultancy we have embedded in Manchester means we can offer clients a unique service at a time when the number of new schemes across the North West continues to grow.”
