Pegasus builds North West team

Planning consultancy Pegasus has continued a recruitment-heavy start to 2018 with new hires in both its Liverpool and Manchester offices.

In Liverpool, planner Jonathan Storey joined in March, following Simon Tarr who arrived from Engie in January. Tarr has an extensive background in the telecoms and energy sectors and is assisting a number of clients across the UK in finding sites for telecoms and renewable energy infrastructure. Storey previously worked for Community Windpower.

Liverpool director Neil Culkin said: “I’m very pleased to say that our team has expanded on the back of recent successes, meaning we will be announcing a relocation of our office shortly to accommodate further planned growth of the team.”

The Manchester office has welcomed four new starters in recent months. Associate planner Jonathan Burns joined from DPP in March, with the month also seeing two arrivals from elsewhere in the group – senior urban designer Andrew Ford-Marsden transferred from the East Midlands office to work on strategic sites in the region, while planner Kerry Walker joined from Birmingham. Economics graduate Emily Hall had previously arrived to assist economics associate Richard Cook.

Seb Tibenham, executive director, said: “The bolstering of our planning, urban design an economics services was well overdue and responds to an increased pipeline of strategic instructions.

“The North West team now stands at 16 staff, which surpasses our original expectations and is a huge credit to the team we have in place.”

Tibenham was responsible for setting up Pegasus’ Manchester office in 2010 and became an equity stakeholder in the business last summer. The Liverpool office opened in 2016.
