Metro at Salford Quays fully let

Her Majesty’s Courts & Tribunals Service has taken 17,700 sq ft on a 20-year lease at Picton Property’s Metro at Salford Quays.

The office, previously occupied by engineering firm Jacobs, was marketed by Savills with Avison Young acting for HMCTS.

Existing occupiers in the building include Bam Construction, Hamburg Süd and Insight.

Picton, a property investment firm based in London, acquired the 71,000 sq ft office complex from Bam in 2016 for £17.6m.

Metro was built by Bam in 2008 and sits next to Exchange Quay Metrolink Station on Trafford Road.

Daniel Barnes, associate director in the office agency team at Savills, said: “Picton has successfully repositioned Metro with the recent refurbishment works, providing a large floorplate allowing for efficient workspace.

“We have seen strong demand for good quality workspace in Salford Quays, as evidenced by HMCTS commitment to this space soon after the refurbishment had completed.”
