Urban Green makes two director appointments
The Manchester-based environmental consultancy has promoted Matt Taylor and Gemma King to director.
Taylor, a landscape architect, joined Urban Green in 2015 after more than a decade with Capita Property & Infrastructure. As a director, Taylor will aid in the delivery of various multidisciplinary projects.
King has been with Urban Green since 2017 and aids in business development and the day-to-day operations of the company. She has more than 15 years of experience in the built environment.
King and Taylor’s promotions were two of several made by the company. Ste Allen was promoted to associate, Jake Healy to ecologist, Rachel Sherratt to landscape architect and Max Grindle to assistant ecologist.
Urban Green has also taken on Adam Hodgins as a graduate arboricultural consultant and Thomas Hardman as an office administrator.
“We are really pleased to announce the well-deserved promotions and welcome the new recruits that strengthen the team and enable us to continue to take the business forward,” said Martin King, managing director at Urban Green.
“It’s been a busy period, our pipeline remains strong and our reputation continues to grow with the securing and delivery of exciting and high-profile projects.”
Urban Green boasts a 25-strong staff and is based at Deva City Office Park in Manchester.
Current Urban Green projects include Redwaters’ plans to redevelop the grade two-listed Crimble Mill in Rochdale, JD Group’s proposals for a new Bury headquarters, and Countryside’s plans for 365 homes in Fitton Hill.
Congratulations Matt and Gemma, well deserved.
