Plans in for 315 Ewloe homes
Having consulted in March, Castle Green has now submitted proposals for the Flintshire project, which will include 126 affordable homes.
Flintshire Council has validated Castle Green’s application, which can be viewed on the local authority’s planning portal with the reference FUL/000439/24.
The project team includes transport planner SCP, Ascerta, landscape architect TPM Landscape and civil engineer Coopers.
Along with the housing, the project includes new accesses to be created from Holywell Road and Green Lane.
Allocated for housing in Flintshire’s local plan, the site is around 24.7 acres and currently comprises a series of agricultural fields subdivided by existing trees and hedgerows – it is bordered by housing on the southern and eastern boundaries.
Land beyond the site’s northern and western boundary is currently open countryside in use for agricultural purposes.
In January this year, Castle Green secured consent for close to 400 homes off Viking Way, Congleton, while in March the firm put in plans for 300 homes off Ash Lane, Hawarden.

No, No,No. We are overrun with traffic as it is. I passed the school on Cross Tree Lane,absolute chaos as the Lane was packed with parked cars on double yellow lines and nowhere for traffic to pass each other. No doctors, no dentist, where are the school places? Traffic in Hawarden routinely doing over 20 mph, I have seen cars doing in excess of 30 mph.what about pollution? Hawarden and Ewloe cannot take this amount of housebuilding!!!

How can an access point from new proposed housing estate in Ewloe into Green Lane be possible as it is a narrow lane with no room for two vehicles to pass.
The roads in and around Ewloe Green school from 8.30 to 9am and from 2.45 to 3.30 is utter chaos.
With an approx 600 more vehicles into the area is utter madness and inconsiderate to the local community.
Not to mention doctors, schools, etc.
Very concerned resident.

Its a sad state of affairs when the existing houses which are over 40 years old are larger and have more space. This is over development and should be at least 50 houses less to give residents a decent standard of living and breathing space. there’s not trees, decent parking and Id guess the houses will be tiny with pokey rooms and zero green credentials.
