Adanola takes another 6,500 sq ft at NOMA
The athleisure brand, worn by the likes of Kim Kardashian, Kaia Gerber, and model and actor Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, has increased the size of its footprint at Dantzic.
Last October the brand moved from the Empress Business Centre in Old Trafford to take 13,000 sq ft at the grade two-listed office block in the heart of Manchester city centre’s NOMA district.
Adanola, which has seen its revenues soar by more than 136% in the last year, has grown its team from more than 50 to 90 in just a few months following its relocation, leading to this deal to take a further 6,600 sq ft at Dantzic.
JLL was the agent for NOMA, while Sixteen Real Estate advised Adanola on the letting.
Adanola founder Hyrum Cook said: “We are thrilled to be growing here at NOMA, the move was a result of a major new chapter in the evolution of our business and we needed to create a space that embodied the innovative spirit of Adanola. We’ve felt right at home ever since we moved in, it’s a perfect location for our people to thrive.”
Paul Pavia, commercial director of MEPC, asset manager of NOMA said: “Adanola is an outstanding Manchester business and superb addition to our growing neighbourhood of innovators and bold thinkers. We are delighted to see them expanding their footprint at Dantzic.
“Adanola’s growth here, alongside Allpress Coffee and most recently the opening of Tom Barnes’ destination restaurant Skof, is a testament to our long-term investment strategy for NOMA, where there is such a compelling blend of the old and the new, a buzzing events programme and of course brilliant digital and transport connectivity.”
The wider NOMA district is spread across 20 acres and is home to Amazon, The Co-operative Group, and WeWork. An estimated 6,000 people working in the district.
James Devany, director, of the national office agency at letting agents JLL, added: “NOMA has become the destination of choice for some of the most progressive and exciting businesses and brands such as Adanola.
“Their growth is brilliant to see and is reflective of the significant investment into the NOMA area, which includes the provision of 6,600sq ft of flexible fitted and furbished workspace in Dantzic, plus Altogether Otherwise – an inclusive creative space, where people can connect, learn new skills, share ideas, join a club or simply escape the everyday pressures of modern life.”
Scott Shufflebottom, director, of Sixteen Real Estate, added: “The almost immediate move to expand its workspace at Dantzic is testament to Adanola’s continued success and growth trajectory.
“It is always rewarding to work with forward-thinking clients, assisting with their real estate strategies and consequently ensuring they can focus on the day job.”
