Arcadis recruits director from Equans
Julian Cobley has been named regional accounts director for local government in the North West with the global property consultancy.
Cobley joins Arcadis from Equans, where he was partnership director. He will work from Arcadis’ Warrington office.
Cobley has first-hand experience with local authorities, having been the head of investment for Cheshire East Council from 2014 to 2016 and acting as managing director for the council’s Skills and Growth Company for more than three years.
Regarding his position at Arcadis, Cobley said: “I’m really looking forward to working with local and regional government leaders throughout the North West who are seizing the opportunity to overcome complex societal and environmental challenges, creating great places and improving quality of life for their communities.”

Arcadis offers design, engineering and management consultancy services. It has 17 offices in the UK, including in Cumbria, and Manchester. Arcadis is the project manager for Manchester Airport’s £1bn transformation programme.
