Bootle mental health facility changes hands
Western UK Property Group has sold a 50-bed mental health step-down facility and adjoining supported accommodation to Fundamentum for around £3.25m.
Fundamentum invests in specialised supported housing schemes across the UK. The buyer was contacted for comment.
WUKPG acquired the Balliol Road buildings, Nightingale House and Whitman House, in 2020 before renovating them.
YMCA Together operates the facility on behalf of Mersey Care NHS Trust.
Dillon Loupos, development manager at WUKPG, said: “Balliol Road marks the latest in WUKPG’s strategy to repurpose existing vacant elderly care homes into high-quality specialist long term accommodation for NHS Trusts and mental health operators.
“We are proud to see our development arm continuing to support the supply of vital healthcare services by reducing bed blocking in hospitals across the North West and nationally.”
The property was marketed for offers over £3,250,000 by joint agents CBRE and Eddisons
Fundamentum was represented by Gerald Eve.
