Boundary Mill Colne extension gets go ahead

A 96,000 sq ft retail development at Colne in Lancashire is set to be approved by Pendle Council after the Secretary of State declined to call in the application.

The scheme at junction 14 of the M65 in Colne is being developed RB Business Park and comprises a garden centre and farm shop which will be operated by Boundary Mill as an extension of its flagship retail store at Vivary Way, Colne.

Pendle Council resolved to approve the application in April before referring it to the Secretary of State.

Nexus Planning managed the application, preparing the retail assessment and negotiating terms for the section 106 agreement. Architectural practice Campbell Driver Partnership designed the scheme, alongside engineers Curtins and landscape and ecological consultancy TEP.
