Capital&Centric launches rental service Ollo
Ollo will manage a portion of the developer’s growing portfolio of rental communities, including Eyewitness Works in Sheffield and Farnworth Green in Bolton.
Renters with Ollo will be provided with a raft of services, including cleaning and pet care, that will be accessible via an Ollo mobile application. Residents will be encouraged to use the app to chat with neighbours and sign up for activities. They can also use the app to report maintenance issues and secure resident-only discounts on various products.
Each Ollo-managed home will be kitted out with designer appliances and sustainable furniture. Buildings will offer ample community space and well-being facilities, as well. Amenities for Ollo schemes could include coworking spaces, rooftop terraces, private dining halls, mini cinemas, gyms, and resident lounges.
Tom Wilmot, joint-managing director at Capital&Centric, said: “With Ollo, we’re redefining what it means to rent by offering more than just a place to live – we’re building communities where people will thrive.”
Wilmot added: “Quality is everything, from the design of the buildings to the spec of the interiors.”
Eyewitness Works in Sheffield will be the company’s first foray. The former cutlery factory has been transformed into a mix of one-, two-, and three-bed apartments, duplexes, and townhouses.
Other Capital&Centric developments, namely Stoke-on-Trent’s Goods Yard and Farnworth Green in Bolton, are in line to come under Ollo’s wing.
In addition, Weir Mill in Stockport is expected to be complete in 2025 and will be added to Ollo’s portfolio
Place North understands that asset management firm Swiss Life could be poised to acquire a number of Capital&Centric’s projects. It is not yet understood if Ollo will play a role in such transactions.
Other projects in the pipeline for Capital&Centric include Ferrous and Talbot Mill in Manchester and The Littlewoods Project in Liverpool.
Interesting. Most developer traders who become real estate operators using 3rd party capital end up in one place…
