Change at the top for Property Alliance Group
Alex Russell has taken over as chief executive of the Manchester-based development company from his father David as part of a wider restructure.
David Russell, chief executive for more than 30 years, is now the company’s chairman.
Property Alliance Group, which is behind the mixed-use redevelopment of the high-profile Renaissance site in Manchester, has also restructured its board.
Ella Magill, who joined Property Alliance Group in 2007, has been promoted to managing director.
Meanwhile, Stuart Ormisher has joined PAG as chief financial officer from Bruntwood. He will work alongside financial director Ewan Wyse.
“After many valuable and enjoyable years at Bruntwood the time was right for a new challenge,” Ormisher said.
“I am excited by Alliance’s growing portfolio and the potential for the business in 2023 and beyond.”
Alex Russell said: “We have worked on a 10-year vision to grow the Group’s strongly performing commercial portfolio, while working closely with new and existing joint venture partners across the private and public sectors.
“The restructure will ensure we are strongly positioned to deliver our aims, including bringing forward major new developments such as the transformation of the former Renaissance site at Deansgate.”
As well as Alex Russell, Magill, Ormisher, and Wyse, Alliance’s board includes development director, Dylan Williams, and Victoria Russell, brand, strategy and partnerships director.
This year, Alliance is set to deliver several major schemes, including its Uptown residential development on the River Irwell, the Treehouse Hotel at Renaissance, and 40,000 sq ft of Grade A offices at Deansgate in Manchester city centre, with a combined GDV of £254m.
I wish them luck. The Renaissance site is ‘in at the deep end’.A very high profile job,I look forward to seeing the results.
