Dentsu signs for 15,500 sq ft at Enterprise City

Multinational media and digital marketing company Dentsu International has relocated its Manchester office from Portland Street to Allied London’s Bonded Warehouse.

Dentsu will occupy 15,500 sq ft on level 6 of the Enterprise City scheme. The relocation, which comes after 25 years on Portland Street, sees the company join a growing cohort of digital and tech firms including Booking.com, WPP, PEAK AI, and Cloud Imperium Games.

The office will be home to Dentsu’s various teams and agencies including Carat, iProspect, dentsu X, Merkle, and Dentsu Creative.

Dentsu is a RE100 accredited company, which means it is recognised for operating on 100% renewable energy.

The move to Enterprise City was influenced by the firm’s net zero aspirations and its “ongoing commitment to diversity and building on our deep local expertise”, according to Angela Tangas, Dentsu UK and Ireland chief executive.

“The new space provides an exceptional collaboration space, that’s environmentally friendly where any, and all members of our teams, clients and partners can have a great experience.”

She added: “We’re incredibly proud to build on our strong heritage in Manchester and come together as part of Enterprise City’s booming, modern industry community.

“As a people-centred business, we remain committed to flexible, hybrid ways of working and creating environments where everyone can thrive.”

OBI advised Allied London and Cushman & Wakefield advised Dentsu on its move.

Andrew Cowell, part of the transactions and asset management team at OBI, said the deal was a coup. “Bonded Warehouse and Enterprise City is the blueprint for a new type of workplace and to attract the Dentsu brand and name to Enterprise City is fantastic news.

“They are a great addition to this new creative neighbourhood and Bonded Warehouse will be the perfect place for Dentsu to bring their teams together in a stunning character building that is full of amenity.”

OBI provides advice to clients on leasing and investment, business relocations, workplace consultancy, branding, interior design, project management, and dilapidations.
