DLA Piper gives TP Bennett design brief
Architectural, interiors and planning practice TP Bennett has been appointed by DLA Piper to design its 45,000 sq ft office at One St Peter's Square in Manchester city centre.
DLA Piper was confirmed as the second tenant within Argent and the Greater Manchester Property Venture Fund's 280,000 sq ft office in December last year, joining KPMG which moved into 75,000 sq ft on the top three floors before Christmas. KPMG's fit-out was delivered by ID:SR.
Alongside agent GVA, TP Bennett advised DLA Piper on its office search, providing feasibility and due diligence advice.
TP Bennett opened an office in Manchester in July 2014, its only branch outside London, to service Northern developers. Recent projects include the design of law firm Nabarro's 10,000 sq ft office at 1 The Avenue Spinningfields, which was fitted-out by Overbury.
The team is now working with property and construction consultant Ridge & Partners LLP on finalising the brief for DLA Piper with a view for the RIBA design stages to commence in the spring.
Occupation is scheduled for summer 2016.
Leigh Dimelow, director of TP Bennett, said: "Our appointment on such a prestigious project and with one of the city's most established firms is a great opportunity to further engage with what is already a strong design community in Manchester and the North West. We look forward to working with DLA Piper, and our partners, to deliver an office space testament to their status within the business community."
