EQT completes Knowsley hat-trick
Having acquired two sheds totalling 176,000 sq ft at Seybourne Estates’ Imagination scheme in 2021, the investor has added a third unit to its Merseyside holdings.
EQT Exeter has acquired a site at Knowsley Business Park from Seybourne with planning permission for a 60,000 sq ft shed.
The building does not yet have a tenant and will be built out speculatively.
Seybourne’s disposal of land in Knowsley comes hot on the heels of an acquisition elsewhere in Liverpool City Region.
The developer was recently selected by Liverpool City Council as the preferred bidder for 6.4 acres at Stonebridge Business Park, land earmarked for a 100,000 sq ft industrial scheme.
Meanwhile, EQT is also in an acquisitive mood. Recent deals for the investor include a 300,000 sq ft Asda hub in Northampton and 650,000 sq ft of industrial space across two schemes in Milton Keynes and Dartford.
Zaman Roberts advised EQT and Carrick Real Estate acted for Seybourne.

What about forcing developers to install as many solar panels as possible onto the rooves of new build warehouses like this one? they would be out of site, wouldn’t take up farmland, and would be located where power is needed.
As they say in marketing its a “win-win scenario”.
