First-Investments develops business park at Botany Bay
Management and investment company First–Investments is to create a £4m office complex at its Botany Bay site in Chorley, Lancashire.
Botany Bay Business Park, which is currently being marketed by joint letting agents Lambert Smith Hampton and Nolan Redshaw, will comprise three office buildings – Adventure House, Resolution House and Endeavour House – offering accommodation ranging from 2,800 sq ft to 39,900 sq ft.
First-Investments will occupy one of the buildings as its new headquarters.
Tim Knowles, managing director of First-Investments, said: "We believe the market will see this new scheme as a viable and competitive alternative to city centre/town centre occupation, given the strength of its location and excellent communications. This will add, we hope, to Chorley's continuing regeneration and future as a thriving commercial centre.
"It will also offer companies already in the area their next successful step on the growth ladder.
"In our own growth terms, a modern, purpose-built new headquarters will enable us to achieve our ambition of doubling our workforce within the next few years and to continue our commitment to this area of Lancashire, retaining our existing staff and recruiting more locally for the future."
The new business park will make up just part of the company's 8m sq ft property portfolio, which includes office buildings in the city of London and the South East, as well as business parks and industrial estates all over the UK.
Last month Knowles was banned from becoming a director of any company for four years, following an investigation by the Department of Trade and Industry into the failure of his lettings business Baysouth.
looks like this never went ahead…
