Housebuilders begin work on Barrow homes

Taylor Wimpey and Barratt Homes have started construction on 233 homes in Barrow.  

Planning permission was granted in August 2019 for the development on Whalley Road, with 113 units to be Taylor Wimpey homes, and 120 Barratt.

Split into two schemes, Clover Meadows and The Brooks, the project is set to be a mix of three- and four-bedroom properties for sale, alongside affordable housing including bungalows.

As part of the planning agreement with Ribble Valley Council, Taylor Wimpey and Barratt Homes will contribute £1.2m towards additional education places at St James Primary School and Ribblesdale High School.
