Kellen Homes takes 9,000 sq ft at Birchwood Park

The housebuilder has doubled its footprint as it expands to accommodate recent growth and increased staffing levels.

BE Group and JLL served as agents for the deal, which will see the housebuilder continue to work at Warrington’s 120-acre Birchwood Park. Kellen is headed up by Renaker’s Daren Whitaker and ex-Countryside boss Ian Kelley.

Birchwood Park, recognised as one of the region’s prime out-of-town business destinations, has hosed Kellen Homes for more than four years.

Ian Kelley, chief executive at Kellen Homes, said: “I am incredibly proud of Kellen Homes, the team we have built and how far we have come in our first five years.

“We have forged partnerships, built houses and communities, and seen hundreds of people move into our new homes.

“We are committed to growth and have new sites and projects on the horizon and a talented and growing team to help us deliver that vision. Our new offices will allow for that continued expansion and I look forward to a bright and busy future.”

The refurbishment of the office space was completed in December last year, and an EPC-A rating demonstrates its energy efficiency.

Martin O’Rourke, commercial director at Birchwood Park, added: “We’re delighted to support Kellen Homes as they expand within the park.

“Our priority is always to ensure a seamless transition for both new occupiers and those growing their operations, enabling them to focus fully on their business ambitions.”

He continued: “Seeing Kellen Homes thrive here is a testament to the strength of the Birchwood Park community and we look forward to continuing our successful partnership as their business progresses.”

Warrington-based Birchwood Park is home to more than 165 companies and their 6,000 employees, including a wide range of housebuilders, such as Galliford Try and JLL.
