Legacie completes £90m Liverpool resi

Parliament Square comprises a mix of 500 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments across four blocks ranging between eight and 18 storeys.

Legacie, one of Liverpool’s most active developers, has completed the £90m Greenland Street scheme having sold all of the apartments off-plan.

Designed by Falconer Chester Hall, Parliament Square also includes a public plaza surrounded by 12,000 sq ft of commercial units as well as a gym, rooftop spa, and residents lounge

Legacie received a £45m funding injection from London-based Maslow Capital to kick-start the development. The apartments were sold by RW Invest.

“In 2019, this was a site in need of significant investment and urgent regeneration and I am incredibly proud that we’ve been able to deliver this as well as develop something that offers prestigious living,” said John Morley, Legacie chief executive.

“Every single apartment at Parliament Square has been snapped up and this is testament to the quality of our product and the investment that has gone into bringing this scheme to life.”

Legacie’s other projects include One Park Lane, the redevelopment of the historic Heap’s Mill Rice Factory, and a 656-apartment development known as The Gateway on Leeds Street.

Looking forward to their Gateway development and the next big project, I wonder where it will be?

This has made a huge difference to the Baltic Triangle and has provided a great space and facilities for long time residents of the area, as well as the new.

Legacie are a credit to the City ,they should be left to get on with their plans and seem to have a grasp on what a proper city looks like. Not sure but think they might be involved in the recent application on the old carpet warehouse site in the Baltic. The Parliament Square scheme is a real landmark building down there, and right next to the proposed Baltic Station which, when work starts , will surely will attract further developments whether they be residential , retail, or leisure.

I really hate this building. It looks so cheap and distracts from the cathedral.

It looks absolutely great

@Dr Ian, have you actually stood near the building it`s far from cheap looking, and people flocked to purchase these flats. Also you think it detracts from the appearance of the cathedral, I would suggest that the jungle of weeds in part of Chinatown is more of a problem and the sooner Legacie get working on more sites in this location the better.

To be fair, this is one of the few schemes that does its CGIs justice. The key will be – as with all modern development – the ability of the facade materials to stay spruce.

To be fair it wouldn’t be very difficult to do justice to that CGI

There must be a hundred countries building better quality buildings than we do

Such a great development, and at the right density. We need Chinatown and the Wedding House developed now and reknit this part of town back to being a vibrant city centre neighbourhood

Improved that part of town no end. Big fan of legacie hope they have more to come.
