Lloyds puts Chester offices up for sale
Two buildings totalling 105,000 sq ft are to be sold after the bank vacated its Westminster Road site in 2019.
Lloyds bank has appointed agency CBRE to market the 60,000 sq ft Charterhall House and the 45,000 sq ft Tower House, located on a four-acre plot close to Chester train station.
The seven-storey Charterhall House comprises a ground floor reception area and upper floors offering a mix of private offices, meeting rooms, and a canteen.
Tower House is a four-storey building containing a mix of open plan and private offices and meeting rooms.
The site “offers potential for a new owner to refurbish or redevelop the properties for a variety of uses including residential and leisure, subject to planning,” according to CBRE.
Neil Kirkham, senior director at CBRE Liverpool, said: “The site offers a fantastic opportunity to transform the existing offering into an attractive new development to serve the surrounding community of Chester.
“With recent statistics showing strong office take-up in Chester over the past four years, high demand in the hospitality industry and continued high demand for rental accommodation, we anticipate high interest in this plot.”
Lloyds’ Chester staff relocated to Cawley House at Chester Business Park in 2019.
