Manchester’s Hotel Gotham changes hands

Leonardo Hotels UK and Ireland has added the 60-bedroom property to its growing portfolio of city centre assets.

Manchester’s Hotel Gotham is located at 100 King Street and was previously operated by Bespoke Hotels. Marshall CDP, which developed the scheme, retook control of the hotel from Bespoke last year.

Leonardo acquired the hotel from Marshall for an undisclosed sum.

The asset, which opened in 2015, will sit within Leonardo’s Limited Edition collection of hotels, which features The Dilly Hotel in London’s Piccadilly, The Grand in Brighton, and the Midland Hotel in Manchester, acquired in 2018.

Hotel Gotham features Honey, a restaurant, and Club Brass, a private bar and members club.

Jason Carruthers, managing director of Leonardo Hotels UK & Ireland, said the hotel “aligns perfectly” with the company’s vision.

“This acquisition further strengthens our presence in key city centre destinations and underscores our dedication to delivering unparalleled service and quality to our guests.”

Leonardo Hotels UK & Ireland operates 54 hotels and more than 11,000 rooms across four brands – Leonardo Hotels, Leonardo Royal Hotels, Limited Edition, and NYX Hotels.

Do we also need more balconies as well though ?…I mean while we’re talking obsessions let’s do em all 😅

You’re right, we can’t put balconies on this which is why the new builds should have them instead.
