Miller Homes plans passed in Northwich
Having been granted outline planning approval for a 70-unit housing scheme in the village of Moulton in Northwich, HOW Planning has now secured full approval on behalf of house builder, Miller Homes.
Working on behalf of a private landowner, HOW submitted proposals for a residential scheme in 2014 and following detailed negotiations and discussions with Cheshire West & Chester Council a decision was made by delegated powers.
The scheme includes a combination of house styles with two, three and four bedrooms, as well as a number of bungalows. There will be 14 social rented homes and seven for shared ownership.
The new homes will be provided alongside a network of greenspace which will allow for public open space, children’s play space and deliver ecological benefits.
Victoria Hunter, senior planner at HOW Planning, said: “Miller Homes is committed to delivering the high quality development that was envisaged by the landowner. The scheme will comprise a mixture of house types which will attract new residents to the area whilst taking into account the local landscape and environmental considerations.”
HOW said the scheme has been well received by the local community where there is an identified need for additional housing. It has been carefully designed to complement existing homes and enhance the village of Moulton and it is hoped that the influx of new residents to the village will help to support the existing local services and facilities on offer.
