Moss Bros opens new Manchester store
Moss Bros Group will launch its new Boss store in Manchester's New Cathedral Street on Sunday.
Moss Bros was in talks with the landlord, a joint venture between Prupim and Capital Shopping Centres, at the start of the year to take the 10,000 sq ft unit, previously occupied by furniture retailer Heal's.
The franchise store is relocating from King Street and will be the second largest Boss store in the world and the only one in the UK to stock all of the Hugo Boss brands and lines.
Joe Ellis, group trading director of Moss Bros Group, said: "We have known for a long time that Manchester is a fashion hub for the North West; it is one of our strongest markets with much untapped potential. Many retailers focus their attention on Central London, but we recognise the need to evolve growth in other regions, to increase our market share in the premium sector, as well as contributing to the sustained growth of the British economy."
Heal's, which opened the New Cathedral Street branch in 2003, assigned the lease in May to the Moss Bros Group following poor trading.
The new Boss store is currently open but a launch event is being held on Sunday 14 November.
Moss Bros was advised by MSBL in the deal.
I’m sure you mean Hugo Boss and not Moss Bros. They are on St Annes square!??

Probably not. Moss Bros are the Franchisee and run many many shops selling Hugo Boss clothes up and down the country.
