Near £900,000 loss pushes Lyjon Group into administration
Opus Restructuring has been appointed administrator for the Ellesmere Port-based contractor.
The notice of the appointment of administrators was signed on 8 November.
The firm recorded an almost £888,700 loss over the last financial year, compared to a £89,500 loss the year before.
Documents released on 22 July on Companies House show that for the financial year ending 30 September 2023, the firm had a turnover of £7.9m, a decline from £8.15m in the previous period.
Lyjon Group’s financial statements reported £2.4m in liabilities to creditors due within one year, £1.8m of which was owed to trade creditors.
Contractor Lyjon Group was established in 1964 and provides construction, insulation, cladding, and electrical services.
It has worked on small—to medium-scale industrial and residential projects, such as 26 bungalows at Knowsley Village, demolition works at Deyes High School, and groundworks for Tate & Lyle’s major commercial operating plant.
