Bank House flats tipped for consent
An 80-unit residential scheme in Warrington town centre from developer City Centre Projects has been recommended for approval by the council.
The developer, whose sole director is listed on Companies House as Daniel Kelly, wants to create a 10-storey residential block on the corner of Mersey Street and Bank Street opposite the DFS furniture store.
Under the proposals, the existing two-storey office building known as Bank House would be demolished to make way for the Falconer Chester Hall-designed scheme.
The development would deliver 30 one-bedroom flats and an additional 50 with two bedrooms. Around 3,400 sq ft of the ground floor is to be given over to commercial uses, under the proposals.
Four parking spaces are planned within the scheme and the developer is also seeking to secure residents parking within the multistorey car park to the rear of the site.
The project is recommended for approval by Warrington Council’s planning committee, which meets on 14 April.

This scheme is so boring it hardly makes it worth commenting!

I worked on the town centre redevelopment scheme and I feel the hotel will be the icing on the cake to draw people to the town centre and who are working locally! My only recommendation is that we get some more landscaping included, warrington town centre is not very green at all!

This development should be rejected by the Council planning committee. It is downright cheek for the developer to only offer 4 parking spaces and expect the flats residents to use the adjacent multi storey car park which was built for the towns shoppers if the development goes ahead it must provide adequate parking for it’s residents.
