Network Space secures planning for Salford industrial

The developer has won outline consent to develop the former Ashton’s Field colliery site into 200,000 sq ft of industrial or distribution space. The site sits close to the M61 and totals 14 acres.

Network Space, formerly known as Langtree, acquired the site from the Homes & Communities Agency in February 2016.

Stephen Barnes, managing director of Network Space, said: “The site can accommodate a wide range of industrial warehouse requirements including up to 200,000 sq ft in a single unit. We are currently working closely with Salford City Council, the HCA and other partners to ensure that the site can be brought forward as quickly as possible while responding to market interest.”

Retained agents on the scheme are JLL and LM6.

Network Space now owns and manages a portfolio of 3m sq ft across the north of England and Midlands, with a combined value of £130m.
