Second Stockport Exchange office completes

Muse Developments and contractor GMI have completed 2 Stockport Exchange, the 61,500 sq ft office within the £145m regeneration of a site next to Stockport station.

GMI started on site in November 2018. The building aimed to capitalise on the success of its fully-occupied 50,000 sq ft sister office 1 Stockport Exchange, also developed by Muse, which quickly let on completion to Music Magpie and Stagecoach.

Chemicals manufacturing BASF confirmed that it would take 23,000 sq ft in 2 Stockport Exchange in January, a deal tipped by Place North West in May 2019. 

Stockport Exchange has also seen an NCP multistorey car park and a Holiday Inn Express delivered in the last five years as part of the wider development in partnership with Stockport Council. It is targeted to include more than 300,000 sq ft of offices once complete.
