NuGen expands in Piccadilly Place
NuGen, the UK nuclear developer, has taken the whole 12,700 sq ft eighth floor of 3 Piccadilly Place in Manchester, in addition to the 16,200 sq ft seventh floor which it moved into earlier this year.
NuGen selected 3 Piccadilly Place as the office location to manage the development phase of its Moorside project, to build a new nuclear power station in West Cumbria close to the existing Sellafield complex.
The letting takes 3 Piccadilly Place to fully occupied.
3 Piccadilly Place is owned by global alternative asset management firm the Carlyle Group, which also owns sister building 4 Piccadilly Place. Other tenants occupying the buildings include Weightmans, Barclays, NHS, EC Harris, Arup, Orega and Egencia.
Carlyle Group put 3 and 4 Piccadilly Place on the market last month with an asking price of around £117m.
Ben Du Boulay, director at the Carlyle Group, said: “This additional letting to NuGen underlines our ability to work with our existing occupier clients to continue to fulfil their requirements. We have now let 92% of the 300,000 sq ft of offices across the two buildings and the high levels of interest we are seeing for both the remaining office and retail space is an endorsement of the quality of the building and of Manchester’s position at the centre of the Northern Powerhouse.”
Bilfinger GVA and Savills were the joint agents advising Carlyle Group. GL Hearn advised NuGen.
who were the agents involved? why do carlyle group never acknowledge their and other agents involvement?

As it took them 8 years to let the building, it saves the embarrassment to name them.
