One Heritage to proceed in Oldham
The listed developer’s plans to turn the Oldham County Court building into apartments are expected to be given the green light next week.
Oldham Council’s planning committee, which meets on 20 January, is recommended to approve a change of use application for the building, which is accessed from New Radcliffe Street and fronts Rochdale Road at the northern edge of the town centre.
One Heritage Group plans to develop four studio apartments, 29 one-bedroom apartments and 10 two-bedroom apartments. There are no proposed extensions to the building, with the main differences being the introduction of roof lights and some additional windows.
The scheme has been designed by architect Studio KMA, with Neo Projects acting as project manager.
One Heritage floated on the London Stock Exchange in December. The business is also advancing plans for what would be Salford’s tallest tower, in Greengate; as well as a residential scheme in Burnley.
Earlier this month, the company issued an updated timeline for each of its projects – the 55-storey Salford tower is aiming for completion in 2023-24, but is starting several months later than originally planned.
