Persimmon lodges plans for 57 Standish homes
The housebuilder has submitted an application to Wigan Council for a mix of one- to four-bedroom houses off Pepper Lane.
Persimmon’s 57-home Standish scheme would see 11 homes transferred to a local housing association and four properties designated as First Homes.
Under the plans, 1.6 acres of the six-acre site would be retained as public open space.
The homes would be built to new building regulations and will be zero carbon ready, according to Persimmon.
All homes will come fitted with electric vehicle chargers, PV panels and air-source heat pumps.
Chris Kershaw, development director at Persimmon North West, said: “We’re thrilled to be working with Wigan Council and local stakeholders to deliver high-quality new housing.
“At our most recent development in Standish, over 75% of homebuyers moved from within Wigan and over a third of purchasers moved from within the Standish postcode.
“We’re delighted therefore to be offering a local homes guarantee to support local first-time buyers, families and downsizers alike.”
