Place to lead Northern charge at MIPIM

Place North has partnered with MIPIM organiser RX to spotlight the North of England, with opportunities for local authorities and their joint venture partners in the private sector to elevate themselves at the global property convention and showcase what the North has to offer.

MIPIM will see more than 20,000 government and property professionals from 90 countries meet in Cannes from 11 to 14 March 2025.

For the first time, there will be a Northern focus at the UK Hub at MIPIM. This is the North’s moment to show an international audience why the North West, Yorkshire, and the North East are worth investing in.

A ‘more accessible, more affordable, and more diverse’ MIPM

Dino Moutsopoulos, managing partner and head of commercial at Place North, said: “After many years of listening and working with the market, Place North is absolutely delighted to be able to announce this new strategic partnership with RX/MIPIM.

Place North was launched at MIPIM in 2023 with the ethos of helping support the Northern property market. This agreement is a key part of doing that,” he continued.

“MIPIM is the world’s premium property show and I am very proud that Place North is making it more accessible, more affordable, and more diverse than ever before.

“I’d like to state my appreciation to Nicolas Kozubek, managing Director of MIPIM for creating the right environment for this to happen, and in doing so helping the North of England showcase its investment opportunities at the very highest level.”

Moutsopoulos concluded: “MIPIM 2025 is already gearing up to be a fantastic event and I am very pleased that Place North will be leading the way for the North of England.”

‘A unique opportunity to attract international capital to UK cities’

Nicolas Kozubek, managing director of MIPIM, said: “With the UK already stepping into a new, ambitious era, the dedicated UK Hub at MIPIM 2025 couldn’t be timelier.

“It’s a unique opportunity to attract international capital to UK cities, which perfectly aligns with the growth agenda of the new UK Government,” Kozubek said.

“Our longstanding, positive relationship with the UK’s key regions and leading cities sets the stage for showcasing major property and regeneration projects to an international investment audience eager to capitalise on the global economic recovery. We’re excited to continue this dynamic partnership and drive forward the UK’s future.”
