Poulton holiday village approved

A new housing development and charity holiday village is to be built on the site of the former Fylde farm school in Poulton, Lancashire.
Wyre officials have passed Lytham-based homebuilder Kensington Developments' proposal, which includes 162 new homes, holiday accommodation, offices, education and conference facilities, a fishing lodge, swimming pool, gym, and a large country park.
The developer's Blackpool-based charity, the Kensington Foundation, which works with the homeless and provides holidays for children with terminal illness, will manage the holiday village.
