Thumbs up for 70 supported living flats near Goodison Park

Gauld Property Partnership is behind the plan for a development on land bounded by Walton Lane, Bullens Road, and Diana Street, which has been approved by Liverpool City Council.

The brownfield site, most recently home to a car sales business, measures just less than an acre and is nestled between Stanley Park and Everton FC’s Goodison Park stadium.

To make way for the four-storey development a two-storey brick building is to be demolished, while the rest of the site is currently used as a surface car park on Everton match days.

The scheme comprises 70 one- and two-bed apartments for the over-55’s which will be 100% affordable and managed by a registered provider.

A communal lounge, kitchen, and garden feature as part of the development along with a total of 31 car park spaces, which includes three disabled bays and two staff car parking spaces.

The plans were approved via a delegated decision made by Liverpool City Council’s planning department.

AFL Architects, Curtins, Eco Designs, Redmore Environmental, E3P, Future Serv, SPL Fire Safety, and Tyrer Ecological Consultants make up the project team.
