Walker Sime hires EC Harris partner to head utilities drive

Manchester-based quantity surveyor and project manager Walker Sime has appointed Peter Valkenburg from rival EC Harris as commercial director.

Peter ValkenburgValkenburg, pictured, has 20 years' experience in the construction industry and will work with director and founder Jon Sime to oversee growth of the commercial management division focusing on the infrastructure and utilities sectors.

Walker Sime said it had recently won major commissions from United Utilities, E.on Energy Services and Balfour Beatty Utilities.
