Warrington gives consent for 431 homes
Applications for residential development from Redrow and Story Homes have been given the green light by the council’s planning committee.

Working alongside Homes England, developer Redrow Homes has had plans for a 237-home development approved by Warrington Council.
Redrow’s proposal concerns a 29.5-acre site south of Curzon Drive, Keepers Avenue, and Boddington Drive in Grappenhall.
The proposal was submitted on the housebuilder’s behalf by NJL Consulting. Golby + Luck is the landscape architect.
Of the 237 homes proposed, 166 are proposed as market housing, 47 as affordable housing for rent, and 24 for affordable home ownership.
A playground will also be installed at the site.
Around 170 homes would be split between two and three beds, with 40 four-bedroom and six five-bedroom homes.
The project team includes Eddisons, Waterco, Collington Winter, AES Sustainability Consultants, Bureau Veritas, Daikin, and Site3D.

Story Homes can now proceed with the development of 194 units on the 21-acre site at Warrington Road in Culcheth.
Subject to an S106 agreement totalling over £1.5m with contributions going towards education, health care, and sports facilities.
A mix of one- to six-bedroom properties, with 30% being designated as affordable for residents.
The scheme will offer a range of house types to sort the needs of different customers, including bungalows, apartments, semi-detached, and detached houses.
Properties have been designed with an emphasis on sustainability and energy efficiency.
Siobhan Sweeney, land manager, Story Homes North West, said: “We’re thrilled to have received planning consent from Warrington Council for our new residential development in Culcheth, which will deliver 194 high-quality homes.
“This development will bring a range of benefits to the local community, including much-needed new homes, affordable housing, and attractive modern spaces.
“It will also generate economic benefits for the area, such as the creation of direct and indirect employment opportunities throughout the construction phase.
A large area of open space running through the development and a play area are included in the plans.
Work on site is expected to begin by autumn this year.
The project team includes E3P, Roger Hannah, Ironside Farrar, LDE, Miller Goodall, TBA Landscape Architecture, Croft, Eddisons, Pegasus, and planning consultant Lichfields.
