Wilkins joins Renaissance as director of civils
The Manchester-based structural and civil engineering consultancy has hired Cundall’s Bill Wilkins.
He spent five years as associate director at Cundall having joined from Arup, where he spent more than eight years between 2011 and 2020.
Wilkins’ appointment signals a strategic expansion by Renaissance, which aims to utilise his expertise with a particular focus on sustainable infrastructure design, masterplanning, brownfield redevelopment, and city centre regeneration, the company said.
Wilkins will be charged with doubling the firm’s civil engineering team over the next few years.
He will be based out of Renaissance’s Manchester office at Tribeca House off Dale Street.
Wilkins said: “My primary role is to lead the civil engineering discipline and help shape the business’s direction.
“This will complement the excellent reputation of our structural engineers, as our civil team also becomes the go-to trusted advisors for civil engineering in the North West.”
He continued: “I was drawn to Renaissance by its innovative approach and core values. Its reputation for being collaborative and trusted advisors on impressive projects made this the perfect fit for the next chapter of my career.”

Wilkins will join Renaissance’s more than 50 employees.
