Winsford Industrial Estate expansion primed for consent

DM France-Hayhurst Charitable Trust wants to redevelop a 15.5-acre site off Bostock Road next to Winsford Industrial Estate, delivering 430,000 sq ft of employment space.

Cheshire West and Chester Council’s planning committee will meet next week to discuss the proposals, lodged more than two years ago.

The developer is seeking outline consent for two industrial units that could provide up to 430,000 sq ft of floorspace.

Council planning officers have recommended the 430,000 sq ft scheme be approved, saying that the proposed development “would be of economic benefit, creating new employment units that can be adapted to the changing needs of the end user”.

If approved, the project would see Winsford Industrial Estate expanded eastwards into the village of Bostock.

Other occupiers at the complex include City Plumbing, Renray and Tiger Trailers.

Fisher German is advising the DM France-Hayhurst Charitable Trust on its proposals.
