Work starts on £1.5m Lancashire hospital extension
Wyder Construction is fitting out a 10,000 sq ft annex featuring an ultrasound suite, physiotherapy rooms, and a gym at the Greater Lancashire Hospital in Preston.
Work on the £1.5m Ribbleton project is underway and expected to complete in this autumn. The three-storey facility, which will boast seven consulting rooms, is located next door to the hospital’s existing building.
The Greater Lancashire Hospital was founded in 2014 by Sara and Gwam Rajiah and is located at Millenium City Park off Longridge Road, east of Preston city centre.
Gwam Rajiah, executive chairman of Greater Lancashire Hospital, said: “This new annex will ensure that the best medical care is available for even more Lancashire and North West people.
“But it’s also a really exciting development in the evolution of Greater Lancashire Hospital as we seek to cater for a constantly increasing appetite for our services.”
Greater Lancashire Hospital, which is part of Preston-headquartered Bespoke Healthcare Group, is a private facility that also accepts NHS patients.
